Advanced Driver Training
Made Possible by the Massachusetts Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation
What is Advanced Driver Training?
A half-day program designed to give student drivers the coaching and practice in the critical skills necessary for accident avoidance and emergency situations. Students say it's a blast. Parents say it's the best gift they could give their teens.
What will students learn from this program?
In just ONE behind-the-wheel session, students will learn:
- When facing an emergency, how to change lanes in the 'blink of an eye'
- The proper way to use anti-lock brakes (ABS)
- Why tailgaiting is the #1 road hazard
- How to maintain control in emergencies
- Panic stop techniques
How is the Charitable Foundation making a difference through advanced driver training?
Now in our 7th year, we are more dedicated than ever to to training as many teens and newly-licensed drivers as possible - changing the way they think and react behind the wheel - to help reduce the number and severity of accidents on the road due to inexperience. The Foundation has worked steadily to raise awareness of the program and issues related to teen drivers.
This program is endorsed by the Massachusetts PTA, The Boston Globe, many police departments, and thousands of parents and teens across Massachusetts
Who are your instructors?
The Foundation works with InControl Advanced Driver Training to give you the best hands-on training available. Your instructors are certified race-car drivers who know how to push the limits of a car.
In teaching you, your instructors will review an exercise as many times as you need it until you feel comfortable and the exercises
become engrained in your road response. You might mistakes. That's O.K. You'll learn from among the best (and most patient) instructors
in New England, in a safe environment. And you'll have a terrific time!

InControl ADT has their own training and classroom facility at the old Weymouth Naval Base. They teach sessions in South Weymouth, Worcester, Otis ANGB (Cape Cod), and Seekonk. In Control was founded in 2002 by professional racecar driver Brandon Bogart. Today, with President
Dan Strollo, they’ve both made it their life’s work to help teens become better drivers. They also offer one-on-one instruction and a winter driving school. They have taught similar courses for several Massachusetts police departments.
